ASA Statement
The following statement has today been issued by the ASA and British Swimming:
“British Swimming and the ASA advise officials FINA bylaw BL 8.1 only applies to Olympic Games and FINA events. There is no requirement for officials to check that costumes are on the approved FINA list. Bylaws BL 8.2 and BL 8.3 cover our requirement for design and material. A suit check will only be made if a World or European record is being claimed." >>

Bagcat Performance and Development Squad swimmers are now being awarded every quarter for the highest attendance achievers. The swimmers with the highest attendance last quarter were MIchael Pentland - Bagcat Performance Squad and Katie Murray - Development Squad. Well done to them both.

Success in Wales
Two CMK Swim Club masters swimmers recently travelled to Swansea and competed in the Welsh Senior & Masters Long Course Swimming Championships.

County Champions
City of Milton Keynes Swim Club won more championship titles than any other club. Championship trophy winners were: Emily Jones, Isobel Jones, Charlotte Evans, Tom Flaherty, Oliver lines, Ben Flaherty, Tom Flaherty, Ryan Anscomb, Rebecca Marshall and Joss Ulyett. The team set thirteen new county records and forty club records over the meet. Joss Ulyett also set a new South East England record by 1.5 seconds on 100m Individual Medley >>
CMK Finalists at Leeds International Meet
Some of the best swimmers in the world came to Leeds to compete in the International swim meet. This competition was used to hold trials for GB junior international meets later in the season. Charlotte Evans competed in the 200m Backstroke coming eighth in the final with a new county record. Tom Flaherty competed in the 400m Free coming sixteenth and also in the 800m Free with another new county record.

THE JUNE LEVEL 3 END OF SEASON MEET IS NOW FULL - as the meet is first come first served there will be rejections based on the time and date entries were received! This will mean clubs as well as individuals will be unsuccessful in their applications. Details to relevant parties will be communicated in due course and an accepted entries list will be posted ASAP! No late entries will be considered.
